Shayla Watterson

Hello All,

My name is Shayla Watterson. In May 2014, I obtained a BFA in Graphic Design and Minor in Advertising from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Yes, I grew up in Iowa, no, not on a farm! Post college I have relocated to Kansas City, Missouri. I am a Midwest girl with Midwest values who likes to travel, meet new people, and explore the city.

Along my journey I have discovered that the theory behind design concepts is more complex than most realize. Design has purpose, life and great potential.

Keeping my mind open and free to new ideas is key to my success as a designer. Being creative and involved in the community is my way to change the world and inspire others. Creating influential design while helping others in the meantime is my way of life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am always looking for new opportunities. I have been involved with several non-profit committees and currently work at an agency thus far. I have had wonderful experiences and I always looking to further my career and passion for design.
