Shayna Singer
Student and Musician in Delray Beach, Florida
Shayna made her professional debut on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera at the age of 6 years old, as a dancer in Eugene Onegin, and has since appeared in Il Trittico, Cavalleria Rusticana, Der Fliegende Hollander, Nixon in China, with singing roles in Queen of Spades, La Boheme, Tosca, Carmen, and Parsifal. Shayna began her piano studies at age three and was admitted to the prestigious Special Music School in Manhattan in 2007 and attended K-5. In 2011, Shayna began studying under Eugenia Betman of the Georgian State Conservatory. In 2012, Shayna won second prize in the Young PIanist Competition of New Jersey solo division, and performed in Carnegie Hall. She received a merit scholarship to the Frost School of Music 2013 summer camp at the University of Miami. Shayna has performed community service through her many recitals at nursing homes, assisted living facilities and numerous venues city-wide. She is a recognized honor student level 7-10 for Florida State Music Teachers Association. For the 2013-2016 seasons, she has been and remains a cantate member of the Young Singer's of the Palm Beach. During the summer 2016, she received a scholarship to attend the University of North Carolina School of Arts Voice intensive. In November 2016, she won first place in the Advanced One category in the Pompano Beach Piano Competition.
