My name is Shaquanda but you can call me Shay (My Roommate). I am a soon to be a Junior at Arcadia University.

I major in Graphic Design and minor in International Studies. My favorite colors are blue, black and red. I have a potty mouth and say the first thing that comes to my mind. My favorite Korean Food is Bulgogi. I visited Seoul, South Korea for 8 days in March of 2014 and plan to go back December 2015 to August 2016.

My K-World Journey

I credit my roommate with introducing me to Korean Pop Culture. My love started with BIGBANG's Fantastic Baby. I was introduced to EXO and SHINee next and from there I started watching Dramas. My first drama being Shut up and Let's Go. I fell in love with the seemingly weird music and extremely dramatic shows almost immediately. I immersed myself in the culture and from then on I have been a goner. I now read fanfics and I even have ships. Originally I went to Arcadia with the intent of studying in Spain and went to South Korea instead. I plan to go back and my obsession is all due to my roommate Aneesah. I thank her and am glad God brought us together. Because of her I now have the chance to broaden my horizons even more. I love it.

Shay's K-World: 12/15/2013 - Present

I have always wanted to blog about something and why not KPOP and K-Dramas. I am trying to create a brand with my blog. I want to share my views and opinions on music, dramas, movies and Korean culture. Yes I am a young, African-american, female, in love with another culture not my own (I love my culture too, don't get me wrong). I enjoy it and want you to enjoy it with me. On this blog, as I build it up, I intend to do reviews on various things, include quizzes, have my own awards, fan merchandise and even books for learning the Korean Language. Please enjoy my blog.
