"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I learn."
As the world of marketing transitions to a virtual space run by people and their social networks, there seems to be an all-too apparent divide between people and companies. How do companies connect with people without continually being the annoying "pop-up" box interupting their season finales of Glee on Hulu? What makes someone "like" a company page and does that "like" automatically transition into ROI?
Growing up on Facebook and influenced by all other types of social media, I like to consider myself an expert in this arena and can offer real insights and strategies to how a company can truly connect with its customers. Besides my fresh perspective and intrinsic social media expertise, I also have 3 years of experience as a marketing intern at Intel Corporation.
My 3 internships at Intel have taught me invaulable skills in communication and colloboration both in and out of the company, project management skills, extensive experience in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and close connections to the technology world.
Currently, I am a senior at UCSB seeking a fulltime marketing position when I graduate in June 2013. I can offer 3 years experience at a tech company and will no doubt be able to hit the ground running in a new marketing position. I am a very driven individual, and strive to be the very best I can be in my career and in all aspects of life. I hope to utilize my marketing skillset to make a difference in a company I am passionate about working for.
