Michael Sheehan
I began working in public radio as a magazine editor and radio film reviewer in Albany, NY. I decided to finish my undergraduate degree in Computer Science, married and moved to Chicago, and spent much of the next decade working as an IT consultant, manager, and trainer.
In 2004, I moved to Los Angeles to attend the American Film Institute Conservatory. In 2006 I graduated with an MFA in Film Editing.
Since then I've been an editor and assistant editor for television. My resume includes work on CSI: NY, HBO's "The Life & Times of Tim," "What's With That House" on HGTV, and shows for the History Channel, National Geographic TV and others. My goal has always been to work in feature animation editorial but I've not had the opportunity yet.
Currently I am Course Director for Film Editing at the Los Angeles Film School. I hope to expand my education career considerably.
I am also a writer and amateur photographer. I am passionate about animation and film preservation, and most especially passionate about my family.
