Multi-Genre violinist/fiddler Seán Heely is rapidly emerging as one of the most creatively versatile and captivating young artists of his generation. Seán is equally at home with a large variety of musical genres which include: Classical, Scottish, Irish, Bluegrass, and Gypsy Swing. He is a Scottish Fiddle National Champion as well as an award winning Irish Fiddler and has given workshops and classes at camps such as the most recent Acadia Trad School where Seán taught several Scottish Fiddle workshops and was a featured performer for the Irish Times concert.

Seán has performed with traditional music icons such as Irish Fiddle legend Liz Carroll, Scottish fiddler Pete Clark, and acclaimed duo Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas...

Along with his accolades in Traditional Music, Seán made his Classical solo debut with the Virginia Symphony in February 2012 performing Mozart's 5th Violin Concerto. A composer and arranger, Seán has won national awards including the 2016 Scottish Fiddling Revival’s Tune writing competition.

Seán holds a degree from University of South Carolina in Classical Violin Performance. While attending USC, Seán was a section violinist with Brevard Philharmonic, USC Symphony, South Carolina Philharmonic, and Long Bay Symphony.

Seán is currently based in Washington D.C performing and teaching privately. He is a firm believer of the Arts in schools as well as The Arts remaining a vital part of society.
