Hire me

I am a Marketing professional with over 10 years experience in the non-profit sector. I served as Managing Director with oversight of Marketing, Communications/PR and event planning and my greatest accomplishment was the 2nd Annual Community Impact Awards.

I started my professional career as an Account Manager for the Eastman Kodak company for 8 years prior to working for the American Heart Association (AHA).

I started my career with the AHA in April of 2005. I was promoted from Associate Marketing Manager after two years to Marketing Manager. This was a newly created position, as I took on the full oversight and management of the Search Your Heart and Conozca Su Corazon faith based programs, including program planning, marketing, budgeting, field consultation, and evaluation. I managed the re-development of the program materials, including the market research which led us to update and revise our approach to focus on community based programs.

In 2008 I accepted the position of Marketing Manager in Consumer Health Department to work on the Power To End Stroke Campaign. My greatest success has been launching the Take 2 To Save 2 initiative (effort to promote texting, emailing and posting pre-written lifesaving health messages with family members and friends) in 2010. Led a task force to develop the plans for the launch. Secured a $100,000 grant from Bristol Myers-Squibb/Sanofi Aventis partnership for the support of this new initiative. Created a comprehensive activation guide and led a roll-out call for staff and strategic partners to help with implementation.

Work closely with more than 21 national strategic alliance partners that support the Power To End Stroke campaign.

I am passionate about the mission of the Association because my father died from complications from a heart attack and stroke and in 2011 my sister suffered a major stroke. I continue to share the knowledge and resources to help educate our community about these preventable diseases.

I enjoy traveling, reading, shopping, dancing and spending time with family. My most enjoyable trip was to Bali, Indonesia in 2018 in addition to a girls trip to Punta Cana in 2017. My most memorable family trip was to California with over 15 family members in a Winnebago. My goal is to take at least one vacation every year.
