I am devout educational technologist. I am driven to transform my teaching and student learning using technology. I just wish there was more time in the school day to truly do all I want to do.
I am currently a teacher of history at Dakota High School in Macomb, Michigan. I am also the co-leader of the Instructional Technology Curriculum Council for Chippewa Valley Schools. In my spare time, I am part of the 1st cohort for the Macomb 2020 technology program at the Macomb ISD and part of the course development team for the 2nd year of the cohort, where we are creating a Blackboard course for blended learning. I am part of the Blackboard User advisory group for the Macomb ISD as well. I was also recently named a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert for the 2015-16 school year.
I am also a wife and mother of 3 wonderful and curious boys who, it turns out, have development my love of technology and teach me as much as I teach them. Our favorite activity is family Minecraft night.
