Based in Minneapolis, I am an arts columnist, journalist and critic. With a background in theater, I began my journalism career in 2008 as a theater critic, and quickly took on other beats, becoming a versatile reporter and critical voice in the Twin Cities. I write for the Artscape column at MinnPost, and am the classical music critic for the Pioneer Press. In addition, I wrote about dance for the Star Tribune for many years, and my byline has appeared in Dance Magazine, the Washington Post, ArtForum, the Art Newspaper, LitHub, Hyperallergic, Bomb, High Country News, Artnet News, and more.
