Sheila Ruggiero

I am very fortunate to truly believe/live this quote. For over 25 years, I have been employed by Seneca College as, by title, a Public Relations Officer. In reality, I’m a Marketer, Advertiser, Designer and Event Organizer/Planner. While the responsibilities may often be similar, every day holds an opportunity to utilize my skills in some new way. Whether I’m working on individual projects, brainstorming with my team, or sharing my knowledge and experience with my coworkers, I look forward to what each day has in store for me. In addition, I also operate and provide advertising and design services through Ten:Fifteen Communications.

Working in an educational institution, I believe in lifelong learning. I am currently enrolled in the Social Media Graduate Certificate at Seneca College offered through the Faculty of Continuing Education (@SenecaPartTime). No matter how much one knows there is always something new to learn!

Personally, I am a wife and hockey, dance, soccer and swim mom of two children. In our already heavily scheduled lives, my family actively participates in events throughout our community. I have held the following volunteer positions:

• Vice-President and Treasurer for a local daycare Board of Directors;
• Vice-Chair, Co-Chair, and voting member of the parent council;
• Co-Chair of the TCDSB Swim Invitational;
• Chair and/or member of various sub-committees and fundraisers.
