Shelby Gregory

Shelby Gregory is a first year college student who is working towards becoming a Technical Recruiter or Talent Acquisitionist and will be graduating with her bachelor’s in May of 2018 from Texas Tech University’s Rawls College of Business in Lubbock, TX. From there, she hopes to earning her MBA from the same school. At the current moment she is studying Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resource. Shelby has spent several hours observing and shadowing the Human Resource department of Baker Hughes so she could develop a better understanding of what she could be looking forward to in her future. She hopes to work particularly with The Walt Disney Company, Pixar, or Google.

In college, Shelby’s activities were many. She participated in the Tech Activities Board which focused on planning and preparing free events for the students attending Texas Tech. She found this beneficial for her future due to the intense, detail-oriented work all members must provide to be a part of the organization. Shelby has also participated in the co-ed business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi and quickly took to a leadership position as secretary of her pledge class. Outside of the classes and school organizations, she enjoys participating in intramural sports including basketball, softball, and sand volleyball.

When she is not busy participating in her many school activities and intramural sports, Shelby enjoys spending her time reading books, playing her ukulele, and spending time with friends and family.
