My name is Shelby Myers. I was born on January 5, 1993. I grew up in a small town named Dacula, Georgia. I currently live in Athens, Georgia attending the University of Georgia as a freshman. I am double majoring in Foreign Language Education and Spanish. I am in Sigma Kappa Sorority and participate in Relay For Life at UGA.

This year in my English 1102 course, I learned a lot about myself as a writer. I really learned to appreciate short stories, poems and short films much more than I used to. My favorite part of my English class was getting to create our own short film. At first, I was intimidated by the project and didn't quite know how everything was going to come together. My group and I definitely faced some obstacles during the process (one of them included calling many hospitals asking if we could borrow a wheelchair). While working on it I really got to know the people in my group that I was working with which made it a very rewarding project.
