Hi there! My name is Shelby Till. First, a little bit about who I am... Laughing is one of my specialties and family means more than anything to me. I love the small things in life. My idea of a good time is sitting on a beach somewhere, or watching I Love Lucy reruns. I am a music lover through and through, enjoy meeting new people whenever I can and I have a serious case of wanderlust.
I am an Arizona native born and raised, but wouldn't have it any other way. I grew up in the small town of Queen Creek, Arizona. I was raised in a close-knit family that cherishes food, laughter, traditions and a love for life and for each other. At an early age I was taught the importance of hard work, dedication and good work ethic, no matter what I am doing. These things have helped shape the person I am today.
I spent my childhood on the football field, where my father was a football coach and president of a youth tackle football league for many years, or on the basketball court where I played up until my later high school years. My love of sports is still something that is deeply rooted in me today and you can usually find me watching a game of some kind during the weekend.
During my high school years, I was an honors student who took my studies very seriously, but also took the time to get involved in school and in my community. I was a part of the Queen Creek High School Choir, which allowed me to travel to New York City and fueled my desire for travel. I held several leadership positions in my school's National Honor Society and Link Crew chapters. I was also a member of DECA and Tri-M, which helped me find my passion in Marketing, Communication and Event Planning as well as my desire to help my community.
After graduating from Queen Creek High School in 2010, I went on to pursue a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Sociology at Arizona State University (Go Devils!) and I am looking forward to graduating in December 2013. Life after graduation is still up in the air, so stick around to see what's next!
