Sheli

Hong Kong

Sheli is an experienced creative talent, focused on conceptual and targeted design, branding and marketing solutions that bring results. She started her career as an art director for numerous magazines in Japan and the US, such as Japan Airlines’ in-flight magazine and Custom Homes architecture magazine. She arrived in Hong Kong in early 1996 as a pioneering co-founder of website development company Puregoodness. Clients such as Volkswagen Asia Pacific were hungry to get onto the 'web', a new marketing realm in '96, however the company was way ahead of the times.

After a few years as art director for Star TV, she used her knowledge of UX as the creative director of a couple web/intranet development companies during the dot com craze. She has since grown organically into creative, marketing and strategic brand management roles.
While working as a creative director, then general manager of marketing, for a consumer electronics group in China, she managed all creative and branding, plus large-scale events and trade show presences in the US, Europe and Asia. As the regional brand manager for Leighton Asia she did more of the same, as well as overseeing teams in charge of corporate identity and brand strategy throughout Asia.

Sheli has an MBA, with a specialty in marketing and consumerism. She is the Director of Events for Women Media Networks. Additionally, she is Brand Catalyst's social media expert and teaches social media and design courses with the BSD Academy. She supports non-profits associated with marine conservation and environmental issues, and is an avid diver.
