Shelley Taylor
A Silicon Valley veteran (born in Seattle, grew up in Palo Alto), I have worked in tech for 20 years and love all things tech and digital. It is not surprising that I've been on a quest to find new monetization models for musicians, talent and content creators as I come from a long line of Seattle jazz musicians.
For 16 years I ran a management consulting, research and publishing company where our research created most of the vocabulary now used to describe website, ecommerce and interactive television user interface.
In 2006 I created the first DRM free music store, that combined professional video, editorial and social networking - one of the most ambitious entertainment sites ever built.
My newest venture, Digital Fan Clubs, promises to give data and power back to brands, bands and anyone with a large fan or customer base, giving them access to the data that social networks have recently hijacked.
My passion project is a secret restaurant I take on the road whenever I travel. And in my spare time I mentor women in business.
