Sheri Slaughter California

Sheri Slaughter is a California healthcare executive with more than twenty years in operations and network strategy. She is Senior Vice President of National Network Strategy and Operations at Optum, leading initiatives designed to build, manage and optimize the provider network while also heading institutional, ancillary, and provider contracting for California and supporting multi-site networks. Her work has touched more than 15,000 contracted entities and supported about 150,000 members, with initiatives that improve access, strengthen risk adjusted coding, and align clinical, engagement, and financial performance.

Her background spans ten specialties in twenty states across fee for service, academic medicine, and payor operations. Experience includes M& A integration, contract negotiation, developing growth pipelines, and building teams recognized by physicians for consistent value. She collaborates with hospitals and specialty groups, contributes to CRM deployment and community programs, and represents Optum in public settings. She values problem solving and clear communication. She earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University.
