My journey has led me to Chicago, where I am an Executive Producer for several IP projects in development.

'MISTER CHICAGO' (TM) is an incredible true-life story of a man named Gary Goehl set in Chicago in the 1970s. Gary returned from Vietnam with severe PTSD after flying 225 combat missions as a helicopter gunner. He soon moved home to Chicago where he landed a job at the Sheriff’s office, working his way up to protecting the Treasurer. Through his ascent, Gary navigated both members of the Chicago Outfit and Chicago government, where the lines of good and evil were nonexistent. Equipped with an unpredictable and feared temper courtesy of his PTSD, Gary earned a reputation that demanded both fear and respect. After losing both the Outfit and Chicago money, the Treasurer was demoted in power, not his title, with the threat of exposure because he was secretly married to a man, a taboo subject at the time. Gary was handpicked by the Outfit to take over the responsibility of making their business happen through the Treasurer’s office. It was here where Gary dealt firsthand with the legendary mobster Tony Accardo, Mayor Richard J. Daley (The Boss), among other notable names. Along the way, Gary lost his wife and nearly lost his relationship with his son. In an effort to do right by his son, Gary opened a legitimate property tax service that would serve the black community in Chicago. Angered by what they interpreted as a power play onto their territory, the Outfit put a price on Gary’s head. His attempt to go legit nearly cost Gary his life and forced him to end up fleeing the city that had come to define him.

Gary co-wrote the script with JAY BONANSINGA. Jay is an accomplished author of both screenplays and books including co-authoring The New York Times Best-selling 'THE WALKING DEAD' novel series (with a sole writing credit for 2014’s Walking Dead: Descent).
