I am an animator because animation helps me understand myself and the world around me. Cartoons featuring females as the lead characters are what initially inspired me to be the artist I am today. Many shows I watched had messages that empowered me as a young girl that it was possible to take over the world, which is what helped me understand myself. Cartoon shows like Brace Face, Kim Possible, As Told by Ginger, Powerpuff Girls, Proud Family, Total Drama Island, Sailor Moon, Anastasia and the Disney Classics have really influenced my art and who I am, by helping me understand that the fashionable quirky side of me is what reflects in my artwork.
