I have always been a thinker even though my mom used to complain that I was too literal. Now my job is to be both. Professionally, I help students to understand the world in which they live and to look beyond the obvious. Academically, I strive to uncover deeper threads between ideas and people in order to make meaning. My current site of investigation is social media. I want to join with others to make social media platforms transformative in positive, altruistic ways.
