Ms. Sherley Louis is a highly qualified teacher leader with 10+ years of experience in the United States teaching English language learners, gifted & talented, on grade level and students with special needs in Elementary, Middle School, and High School settings.
In 2019, Ms. Sherley relocated to the United Arab Emirates to become an international educator where she mainly taught students of determination and Gifted & Talented.
Ms. Sherley did not take time to begin her international leadership role six months after. She accepted the position of Head of English Department and Students of Determination.
Because of her rich diversity and cultural background, Ms. Sherley is able to add cultural sensitivity and language differentiation to any institutions. She grew up around a multi-lingual environment with French, French-Based Creole and pidgin, English, Spanish, Italian, and Latin.
She is involved at the National Education Association, Miami Book Fair International LHBF, Association of International Educators & Leaders of Color, Alpha Delta Kappa International Honorary Organization for Women Educators, Global Women's Caucus, Global Black Caucus.
Ms. Sherley Louis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exceptional Student Education K-12, Master’s Degree in TESOL K-12, an Endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages K-12, a Professional Certification in World Language French K-12, and an Elementary Professional Certification K-6.
