Born October 18 I was raised in the small town of Fairdale, a suburb of Louisville Kentucky. I am a Navy wife. We eloped to Tennessee in the wee hours of the morning on December 30th 1980. While our elopement created quite a stir, I would not change a thing. We have three children and seven wonderful grandchildren.

We have lived in Kentucky, California, South Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Connecticut and Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and have now settled in a small town in Michigan’s Thumb. Military life is tough, however, living in different areas and meeting people from vastly different regions have been a unique gift that I am very grateful for.

I write children's picture books under the name Sherry A. Jones.

I spend my days writing from my home office, and hanging out with family. I love visiting schools, reading to classrooms, sharing my stories and love of writing.
