SHERVOSKI COUTURE

A native of Athens, Georgia, Shervoski Couture grew up in Public housing for the first eleven years of his life. He began dancing at the age of six at the Broadacres Apartments Community Center. Throughout high school, he was involved in his school's dance club JADE (Jendayi Afro-Centric Dance Ensemble) where he choreographed and performed for various dance productions. During his senior year, after being asked my dance instructor Rikki Mckinney of Gotta Dance Atlanta. Shervoski danced in the Off Broadway Production of "Satin Dolls." In 2008, Shervoski began his teaching career in the Athens Community giving dance classes to underpriviledge children.

While teaching at East Athens Educational Dance Center, Shervoski was priviledge to trained with such accomplished artist as African Dance artist Toni Young and Deborah Ferguson and Chisa Ymaguchi and Trevor Harrsion of Diavolo Dance Company to name a few. Of campus, he studied hip-hop with Stephen Jones & Quincy Lamar and modern dance & classical ballet with Rikki Mckinney at Gotta Dance Atlanta. He taught children dance classes at the Athens Housing Authorities Community Center in Rocksprings. In 2007, he served as the danceline coach at Clarke Central High Shool. During his time at Clarke Central High School, his choroegraphy won three first place awards in the Battle of The Band competitions in Virginia, North Carolina& Florida. In 2008, Shervoski started teaching at East Athens Educational Dance Center. Where he taught hip-hop, modern, creative movement, line dance, beginner ballet & praise dance to children and adults. During his time at East Athens Educational Dance Center, he became the Artistic Director of the dance school and created and directed seven productions. In 2010, Shervoski was selected to dance and act in the centennial anniversity of The Historic Morton Theatre; Calvin Smith A Night of 100 Stars: Celebrating 100 Years on the Hot Corner show. He was also selected to trained with Balance Dance Theatre in Brooklyn, New York under the leadership of world renown choreography Obediah Wright. In 2011-2012, he joined Dancefx Athens' serves as the Marketing Director of Dancefx Inc.

Shervoski and his work has graced many stages throughout his life. His most recent accomplishments are choreographing and performing for celebrity stylist MaCray Huff for the 2013 Bronner Brothers Hair Show. Playing Devyne S
