Sheryl Johansen

I am currently a third year law student in the top 10% of my class at Barry University School of Law. Prior to attending law school I held a professional career in the financial services industry owning and operating a mortgage business. Through the business ownership process I developed an array of skills that will lend well to being an attorney such as an ability to complete tasks effectively and efficiently, being able to communicate accurately, and an aptitude for precision. During law school I have demonstrated superior research and writing skills. I secured a position in the top 10% of my class, earned the position of Business Editor on Barry's Law Review, and was selected to be a research assistant for Dean Leticia Diaz. I have further developed communication and oral advocacy skills through participation in Barry University's Trial Advocacy Team winning the National Championship ABA Trial Advocacy Competition. Additionally, I was selected for a fall 2012 internship as a law volunteer in the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida.
