Shiarna Barnett

Hello! I’m Shiarna.
I’m an aspiring freelance journalist living in Australia.
I recently graduated from the Morris Journalism Academy and this motivated me to finally bite the bullet and apply to Deakin University to study a Bachelor of Communications (Journalism). As well as becoming a freelancer, my aim is to become a journalist working for a publication.
I work for The Department of Health as an administration assistant and when I'm not working or studying, I love to run and attend boxing classes at my local gym! Aside from journalism, health and fitness is another interest of mine.
My dream is to one day run my own publication: A lifestyle/health and fitness magazine and a newspaper.
