Shierla Puspitasari

Shierla was born and raised in Semarang, Indonesia. Her interest in business developed as she accompanied her parents during various business trips. Traveling with them, she was often fascinated by different languages and cultures that slowly crystallize into her passion for business. She always dreams to make a successful business and to form her own foundation to help unfortunate children in Indonesia.

Shierla is very inspired by Oprah Winfrey’s quote, “if you do work that you love, and the work fulfills you, the rest will come. “ At Diablo Valley College, she founded two clubs: Model United Nations and World Vision. She was also elected as the Minority Affairs Officer for the Associated Students of DVC, Activities Coordinator for Alpha Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and Community Service Chair for Phi Beta Lambda. She joined Haas Business School Association in the Fall 2010 and was part of the Internal Development Committee. As the current Vice President of Outreach, she aims to reach out to community college and high school students to dispel myths about Haas School of Business.
