Shilpi Sharma

Hello there

My name is Shilpi Sharma, and I’m an occasional teacher living in Waterloo Region. I am a fan of music, arts, and travel. I’m also interested in meditation and yoga. I’m passionate about nurturing young learners through creativity, curiosity, and care.

I have a background in teaching both Maths and English, which has allowed me to support students in developing strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. I enjoy helping my students to build confidence in their academic abilities.

In India, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with primary, junior, and intermediate students. I love creating spaces where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. I’m especially drawn to play-based learning, building community in the classroom, and encouraging students to explore who they are.

I enjoy painting, exploring nature trails, and trying out new recipes for cooking.
