Shirley Asiedu-Addo

Shirley is a smart and born to write lady.
An award-winning journalist with international reporting experience Shirley holds an MA in Communication Studies from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
With more than two decades of experience reporting on issues affecting vulnerable communities for positive impact Shirley works for the biggest selling newspaper in Ghana writing for five nationally recognized newspapers.
She enjoys reading works of others whose works better what she does.
Shirley was adjudged the Environmental Journalist of the Central Region of Ghana one year after graduating from the nation's recognized School of Journalism.
She also won the Best Rural Report Award by the Ghana Journalists Association in 2005.
Again in 2011 she won the Best Report Award on Small and Medium Enterprises in 2011 by the Ghana Journalists Association.
Shirley is a fellow of the World Journalism Institute-USA and has received training in journalism and advocacy at the Radio Netherlands Training Centre.
She also works on proposals, tributes and other writing jobs.
She is the Executive Secretary to the Journalists for Responsible Fisheries and Environment and Founder of the Female Journalists for Women and Rural Development in Africa.
