About Me
I work where stories shape lives — and lives reshape stories.
As a scholar, writer, and cultural leader, I bring critical thinking into conversation with creative strategy to design programs, lead teams, and build initiatives that drive equity, dialogue, and impact.
My writing and scholarship have reshaped how we understand the racialization of Muslims in medieval Europe and its impact on the present.
Currently, I’m a program manager in New York City’s arts education sector, where I lead teams, design equity-driven programs, and facilitate workshops that center justice, care, and imagination.
I’m seeking representation for my book The (In)visible Muslim Woman, a hybrid memoir exploring my long and storied relationship with the hijab.
