Shontae Cone has been in the disability field for 11 years. During this time she has become an expert in assisting families, adults, and children with mental illness, physical disabilities, and developmental disabilities. Shontae is skilled in applied behavioral analysis, and has worked as a habilitative interventionist since 2013. Shontae is currently a counseling intern seeing Medicaid clients, and is expecting to be professionally licensed by May of 2018. Areas of specialization include developmental disabilities, children, mindfulness, cognitive behavioral training, teenagers, parenting skills, and family systems.

Shontae received her M.S. in clinical psychology, with specializations in clinical counseling and sex therapy in Summer 2017 from Capella University. Currently, Shontae is a PhD candidate at Fielding University in the infant and early childhood development program. She is also working on classes towards early childhood program development certification.

In 2016 Shontae began to develop the concept of a radical new way to view, support, and educate individuals on mental health and disabilities. Since then, Shontae has begun growing her organization FightDis, which offers varying groups, workshops, and services for those with a disability, or anyone striving for balance, and improved happiness.
