Shontae Moeller

East Austin

Shontae Moeller is an East Austin based Chef, Farmer, Artist, and Social Activist who celebrates the contributions of her heritage through Southern African American, Creole, and Caribbean cuisine and Gastronomy. Shontae's cuisine utilizes seasonal and locally sourced ingredients applying the innovative and classical preparation techniques obtained over her 15 plus years experience in the culinary industry while paying homage to her heritage, and culture. From her popular farm to table supper clubs located in her historic East Austin Farmhouse to her current projects La Gris Gris Food Trailer, Le Cordon Noir Supper Sessions, Sombre Underground, and Strange Fruit Urban Farm a small boutique farm specializing in heirloom varieties of vegetables common in black heritage cuisine.
