Quavonne Standeven
Student, Photographer, and Filmmaker in atlanta
My name is Quavonne Standeven and I am the photographer behind Shots-by-Numb. Photography started as something creative that I enjoyed, but as I continued learning, it became something I wanted to take more seriously. I like being able to take an idea that I have in my head and turn it into an actual image. For me, photography is not just about taking pictures. It is about showing emotion, telling a story, and giving people something they can connect with.
As I have grown as a photographer, I have learned more about camera settings, lighting, composition, color, and editing. Working on different photography projects has helped me understand what I enjoy most about creating images. I like experimenting with different lighting setups and using color to help create a certain mood. I have also learned how much small details can change a photograph and make the story feel stronger.
My photography style focuses a lot on creative storytelling and emotion. I especially enjoy creating images that have meaning behind them instead of just taking a picture because it looks good. Whether I am creating a darker, more dramatic image or something warm and comfortable, I want the viewer to feel something when they see my work.
Shots-by-Numb represents the creative and powerful vision I want to bring into photography. I want my work to feel different and show my own ideas and personality. I am still developing my style, but I know that I want creativity, emotion, lighting, and storytelling to be a big part of it. I also want to keep trying new things instead of staying in one style.
My goal is to continue improving my photography skills, build my portfolio, and I want to keep learning and pushing myself to create better images. Most importantly, I want Shots-by-Numb to be something people recognize for creative photography, visual storytelling, and images that make them feel something.
