Shoughi Darakhshan

I’m Shoughi Darakhshan, based in Fairfax, Virginia. I’m a third-generation restorer, entrepreneur, and founder of a leading disaster remediation and restoration company. I immigrated to the U.S. from Iran as a religious refugee at the age of three, and by twenty, I was fully immersed in the world of restoration—following in the footsteps of my family of contractors. Over the years, I’ve expanded my business into a full-service operation, covering everything from fire and mold remediation to roofing and emergency response. I also founded 911 BoardUp, a victim assistance program helping families in crisis after fire loss. Outside of work, I’m passionate about aviation, ancient civilizations, space travel, cryptography, and quantum computing. I read one book a week, set daily and monthly goals, and believe that health, discipline, and mindset are the core drivers of success. For me, every challenge is an opportunity, and success is defined by how many lives you can positively impact.
