Shravani Purandare
Drama and Movement Therapist
I am a HCPC registered Drama and Movement Therapist trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, University of London. With an expansive repertoire in the arts and over a decade of formal training in Indian classical dance, I have always been drawn towards exploring different creative mediums of expression.
I found my love for creative arts therapy while completing my bachelors at FLAME University where I graduated with a degree in psychology and a minor in film and theatre studies. It was only natural for me to marry the two disciplines I felt so passionately about which eventually led to my training in Dance Movement Therapy in India (St Mira’s College, Pune University) followed by the MA in Drama and Movement Therapy. With every project I have taken on, I aim at providing a safe space where individuals can explore freely and express their inner creativity. Having worked with diverse populations in a range of settings, I went on to do a CYP IAPT training with UCL and Anna Freud centre, specialising in working with children under 5.
