Shrey Goyal
Social Entrepreneur, International Development Practitioner, and Writer in Paris
Shrey is the co-founder of Green Spider, Paris, an upcoming social enterprise harnessing the power of AI to tap the global web of ideas and connecting diverse actors in the sustainable development space for rapid climate action. He leads the Sustainable Growth Initiative, Delhi, and is the honorary Head of Global Knowledge for the Bhungroo Project, an award-winning initiative addressing the severe impact of climate change on rural communities worldwide.
A graduate of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, he is an alumnus of the Future World Leaders Summit (Presidential Classroom, Washington DC), the European Forum Alpbach Climate Opportunity Leaders, the Australia-India Youth Dialogue, and has served as a member of the Executive Committee for Mensa India. Shrey has been conferred the Young Alumni Achiever Award by IIT Kharagpur, the Momentum for Change Lighthouse Activity award (the UN Global Climate Action award) by the UNFCCC (UN Climate Change), the Ashoka Youth Venturer Award, and the Oxford Youth Business Development prize, and was listed in Forbes India 30-Under-30, a group of the country's most promising emerging leaders.
He has participated in sessions of the UN Climate Change Conference on eight prior occasions, and shall be heading an observer delegations to COP29 Baku in 2024.
