The fact that Saraswathi, the Indian Goddess of arts, is always identified with her Veena, only symbolizes that Music has primary importance among all forms of fine arts.
I am an Indian Classical Music artist, have completed Seniors Level in Indian Carnatic string Instrumental music-Veena and have been playing Veena since 22 years. I enjoy playing various tunes/Raaga on veena and its amazing how each Raaga/tune is so well associated with the different mood or the weather seasons around. I teach and also perform for various concerts. I have performed my first show at the age of 8 and have given several performances, including Door Darshan Indian National TV for 40 mins; and 1 hour performance for Accenture Executive delegates meet held in Leela Palace Bangalore India, 1.5 hour Live music session at JivaMuktiYoga centre Jersey City USA and many more. 40 mins live show at the Inaguration of Indian Cultural Organisation NY/NJ USA Radhe Krishna temple. and many other performances.
My Guru were Late Sri Vainika Vidhwaan R.K.Suryanarayana Sir and Vocal Guru : Late Sri. Ramurthy Sir.
About the Instrument Veena : It is the Indian National musical Instrument. Sunadha Veena is a classical Indian musical Instrument - (Similar to Sitar). SuNadha means "union through sound." It is the ancient spiritual art and science of inner transformation through sound and tone. Soothing rich melodious soft music is one universal path to Self Realization, accessible to anyone.
This is a Indian Carnatic musical string instrument which lord Saraswathi holds in every picture. Veena instrument gives an exotic ambiance and peace to ears who listen and play it as well. Research have been made that the sound of Veena is good for heart and health. Veena can be played alone as an instrument and also can be played together with other instruments.
