Her early forays in Eisteddfodau, barn dances and folk dance accompaniment resulted in a wealth of knowledge and understanding of this traditional music and its interpretation, despite her earliest influences being Pink Floyd and Stéphane Grappelli!
Sian's professional career has seen her perform at festivals, concerts, workshops and seminars throughout the UK, Europe and the USA. She has played with The Constitution Hillbillies, Meic Stevens, Wild Welsh Women, Celtish and more recently, MoonDance.
She is currently a session musician and teaches privately. Schott Music have commissioned Sian to compile a book on Welsh Fiddle Tunes which will be published and available in late 2012.
Sian has also featured in numerous television and radio folk programmes over the past 20 years and is regarded as one of the foremost exponents of her craft and never fails to entrance her audiences.
She also plans, organises and is a consultant for festivals, concerts and events using her skills with WISEmusic Events Ltd.
