Hi, I'm Siavash, the CEO of A.I. Music, a company that's exploring the latest techniques in AI and applying them to music creation.

I've always loved technology and music. I spent my childhood playing on my Dad’s computer making 3D designs using Autodesk, but would pause to practise piano. Mozart's Requiem helped me survive my A-levels.

After studying Mechatronics at university, I went on to complete a Masters in AI and a PhD in Evolutionary Robotics, but kept up with piano practice.

Following several ventures in technology, my interests have now come full circle and united in A.I. Music. Our mission is simple; to pioneer the future of music by applying the latest techniques in AI to music creation. Our team of technological and musical experts are driving the next step in music’s evolution, to transform it from a static process of one-directional consumption, to one of dynamic co-creation. We are going to shake up the way music is created and consumed using AI.

I laid the foundations for A.I. Music when I established my first start-up, Within. Within harnessed the power of AI to ‘generatively’ design complex forms that could then be 3D printed. My software paved the way for a new generation of tools that would fully exploit the new-found design freedoms which 3D printing offers. The Within team made breakthroughs in the design of lightweight aircraft components, customised running shoes, and even orthopaedic implants.

While I was still running Within, I also co-founded another company, Digital Forming, to spearhead mass customisation of consumer products, and served as its CTO. After raising seed investment from EOS, a 3D printing industry leader, Digital Forming developed a range of tools that have successfully transformed everyday consumers into co-creators. I also head up Grow, an independent company spun out of Within, which specialises in distributed manufacturing.

In 2016, I founded a social enterprise, Free_D, an initiative that aims to reveal the potential of 3D printing to educate and create employment opportunities for the survivors of sex trafficking in India.
