Sibongile Bhembe

Hi, I’m Sibongile. I’m a student living in Johannesburg, Auckland park. I am currently pursuing my studies in Bachelor of education in the University of Johannesburg, majoring in Sepedi home language and Physical education.I am a fan of reading, technology, and cooking. I’m also interested in education and fashion.

As a student who’s studying to become a teacher, my teaching philosophy is Student-centered learning: Prioritize the needs and interests of students and create a supportive and inclusive learning environmentRecognise the diversity in student backgrounds,learning styles, and abilities, and tailor your teaching methods accordingly.

Engage and inspire: Foster a love for learning by making the subject matter relevant, interesting, and meaningful. Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and creativity in your students, and provide opportunities for exploration and discovery.

Individualized instruction: Recognize that students have different learning paces and styles. Differentiate your instruction to meet the diverse needs of your students, providing additional support or challenges necessary. Be open to adapting your teaching strategies based on feedback and ongoing assessments.

Continuous learning: Embrace a growth mindset and model lifelong learning. Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in education, and reflect on your teaching methods regularly. Seek opportunities for professional development, collaboration, and mentoring to enhance your own knowledge and skills.
