Siddhesh Ayre

I am a simple, straight forward and rational person. An introvert since childhood, I have few friends but I have very strong bonding with them. Though I am not too fond of travelling, I do like to explore places with my friends. People say I think a lot and talk a lot less. I can be sarcastic at times and pretty serious at others. I do have a funny side, thanks to my best buddies who keep taking humor to the next level.

An alumni of VJTI and NITIE, I love studying about computer engineering, operations research, economics and finance.

I am currently work as an Manager (Grade “B” Officer) at Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI). SEBI is the regulatory body which regulates entities related to stock market. I work on one of the amazing projects at SEBI called DWBIS where we have built a world class data warehouse, used to detect market anamolies and investigate them.

One of my major hobbies is reading. I like to read books on variety of topics such as economics, philosophy, decision making as well the mystery books. I am a huge movie buff. In my free time I try to watch movies as well as marathi plays. I love to watch US sitcoms with Friends. Among sports, I like to follow various sports like cricket, tennis, F1. I also love to play Table Tennis and Badminton.

Among my latest interests, I am currently trying to understand algorithmic trading and data mining. I am also interested in astronomy and enjoy obsersving the stars. I was an avid blogger during my college days. Nowadays, I blog longer posts but less frequenctly.
