Siddhesh Gunandekar, is a qualified Social worker from "College of Social Work- Nirmala Niketan, the University of Mumbai”. In his 10 years of progressive work experience in development sector, Siddhesh has mainly worked in Health, Child Survival, Child Rights and Disaster Risk Reduction and Response fields and have successfully managed advocacy & communication domains. He started his carrier as a dreamer, developed an eye for the detail and perspective for vision, learnt the strength of the individual and the team. For him the learning has come from successes and failures.
Today, he is working as Assistant Project (Field) Coordinator- Advocacy and Communications with Medecins Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders for its MDRTB/HIV Project in Mumbai. Prior to MSF Siddhesh has worked for several national and international humanitarian and developmental organizations, like Focus Humanitrian Assistance as IEC Officer, Save the Children- Bal Raksha Bharat as Media, Advocacy, Communication Coordinator and MSF (2006-08) as National Responsible for IEC.
Several other well-known NGOs with whom Siddhesh have worked with are: Under the Mango Tree, Aga Khan Health Services, Modicare Foundation, Committed Communities Development Trust, etc.
Siddhesh is an amateur photographer, a blogger and loves traveling.
