Sidharth Handa

An ambitious medical student with several years of military service under his belt, Sidharth “Tony” Handa is currently enrolled as a medical degree candidate at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada. After completing his USMLE Step 1 Board Examination, he will begin his clinical rotations at a hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Sidharth Handa has experienced a large measure of academic success during his time in medical school and presently ranks second among 487 students in his program.

Before enrolling in medical school, Tony Handa spent four years as a volunteer with the WNC Hypertension Clinic, where he helped physicians treat hypertensive patients. In addition to facilitating patient assistance program enrollment and educating patients on hypertension, he organized meetings for physicians to discuss conditions such as hyperlipidemia and hypertension.

Sidharth Handa served for one year as a Special Operations Civil Affairs Officer in Afghanistan’s Kunar Province. He holds a bachelor of arts in business administration from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
