SIDRAT
by Marcelo Carahyba
SIDRAT (pronounced "Sidrá") is an experimental metal project launched in October 2024, founded and curated by Marcelo Carahyba, an AI enthusiast and passionate metalhead. The project's unique name draws inspiration from Islamic mythology's Sidrat al-Muntaha - the Sidr Tree of the Furthest Boundary - a mystical tree in the seventh heaven marking the limits of angelic knowledge. This symbolic choice reflects SIDRAT's artistic vision: deep-rooted yet branching into diverse musical territories.
The project seamlessly blends various genres, including nu metal, alternative metal, symphonic metal, black metal, dark pop, and alternative hip-hop, creating a distinctive sonic landscape. Despite having no formal musical training, Marcelo Carahyba embraced artificial intelligence as a creative tool to bring his musical vision to life, embodying the philosophy that AI can enhancehuman potential rather than replace it.
SIDRAT represents a fascinating intersection of human creativity and technological innovation, demonstrating how AI can open new pathways for artistic expression. The project follows an unconventional learning approach, starting with creation and working backwards to understand musical fundamentals, creating an upward spiral of continuous improvement and discovery. This project as a testament to how AI can help materialize dreams that seemed previously unattainable.
SIDRAT welcomes collaborations with bands interested in performing its material.
