Engineering is a way of thinking, process solving and innovating. It isn’t easy to be an engineer nor will you always feel like continuing the path of becoming one. 4 years of high school passed by where I was convinced I wanted to be an engineer, an innovator, an inventor. Those 4 years I took elective engineering classes at my high school for engineering, and I soon found out that there were tons of kids that outwitted me. They were smarter, faster or somehow always had to secure a spot in an opportunity before I could even think to apply for it.

But if life was all about being better than the other person, it would be a boring one. Engineering like all other things are skills that one works on. Those 4 years I spent my time with nitwits you see in the picture (excluding the teacher) taught me that I didn’t have to always be the best at what I do, I just had to have fun doing it. Every project we did, the one we completed, failed or botched up, came with memories and lessons that we learned from, at least I did.

Of course the classes for Engineering at UGA will be much harder than the ones at high school, and I am a bit worried on how I’ll get through it. But it isn’t what you do, it’s more of who you do with. I hope I find good people to be around, moreover I hope to god they're more competent than the ones in the picture.
