The Signlady

My company, Bluewater Graphics, has been serving South Florida since 1993.

Formally trained in Advertising Design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale, I entered the niche market of boat lettering shortly after graduating. I was very connected in the sportfishing community and love boats and being on the water.

I first learned traditional methods of creating signage, and hand lettered every job using special enamels formulated for signpainting. This allowed me to gain appreciation for the craft. Unfortunately, the advent of computers has allowed many non-skilled persons to enter the trade and call themselves 'signmakers'.

I am adept at drawing, and can reproduce logos and artwork with precision. The ability to combine traditional skills with technology has given me a firm foundation in the business.

As with any product or service in which competition is fierce, the customer has to be comfortable with who they are dealing with before making a buying decision.

I enjoy a working relationship with my customers built on mutual respect. As opposed to "department store" sign companies, I am a 'boutique' business, working closely with the customer.

My services are neither the cheapest nor most expensive. I love what I do, and while the payoff for long hours on a project may not always be reflected in dollars, it is the satisfaction derived from making the customer happy and a job well done, that ultimately brings me the most profit.
