I'm a reading specialist, and I serve students in grades K to 12 in NYC schools. For over eighteen years, I have effectively guided my students to achieve greater academic gains while empowering them with the confidence they need to continue to grow and succeed. My interest in designing curriculum and working collaboratively with teachers to improve instruction will empower me to promote success as a leader in today's schools. Building teachers’ capacity to implement innovative instructional strategies to help every child succeed is one of my key objectives. My experiences as a classroom teacher and reading specialist have provided me with leadership skills and the ability to build positive relationships with parents, colleagues and students. I believe that learning is an ongoing process that is necessary for continued growth and improvement. I aspire to lead an effective school community that thrives on creative tension and honors learning for all.
