Sijin Joseph
Sijin Joseph made his first programs with GWBASIC in 1991 at the age of 13 on an IBM PC-AT, since then he has been hooked onto software development. He considers himself to be a total geek who is extremely passionate about technology, computer science and software engineering. He has taught himself programming on a variety of platforms and languages like C/C++, C#, MFC, COM, .Net/WinFroms/ASP.Net and has a passion for playing with cutting edge technology and building cool products that make life and work easier. At various points of time he has played with and written small applications using x86 assembly, Perl, Python, Ruby, Lisp, Haskell, OCaml and Scheme. His professional career spanning 7 years now has been mostly focused on building products for startup companies on the desktop, web and webtop space. When he is not building products he is interested in algorithms, systems programming and programming language design. He likes to explore his interests in AI, evolution and genetics via programming. Other than programming his passions include reading and collecting classic books, travel, food and online gaming. Some years ago a huge portion of his free time went into online gaming with Counter-Strike and Soldier of Fortune II. He has an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from St.Stephens College, Delhi, India and did his Masters in Computer Applications from Jawahar Lal Nehru University, Delhi, India. He started working with .Net since the early betas and fell in love with the platform that finally allowed developers to focus on application building rather than bookkeeping. For his contributions to the Microsoft online communities he was awarded the title of Most Valuable Professional(MVP) by Microsoft. He is also involved in beta testing of Microsoft products and has received token of appreciation for his contribution to Microsoft Visual Studio.Net 2005. He was part of the initial team that designed, developed the awesome mashup and RAD platform Proto. He currently works with the Rezolve Group Inc. in Boston as a Software Architect.
