Silivea Johnson

Where does one begin? Artist/ Songwriter/ Producer/Entrepreneur/Wife/Mother and much
cherished family member is a really great starting point for this amazing “Woman of God!”
Silivea Johnson is also an Independent -Contemporary Christian Recording Artist, Producer &
Musical Engineer. She comes from a family of gifted and extremely talented Gospel Singers
who helped Silivea’s core foundation. A healthy beginning for the great things that she has
accomplished over the years and continues to do today.

Nurtured by her parents Silivea was ultimately inspired her to follow in the in the footsteps of
her late Grandfather, like many award winning vocalist and noted servants for the Lord, Silivea
sang in church choirs as a youth. Often performing songs of legendary greats such as James
Cleveland, Mahalia Jackson, multiple Grammy Award winning Shirley Caesar, Tramaine
Hawkins, & the Mighty Clouds of Joy. Along the way, her musical gifts awarded her many key
and some “once in a lifetime” opportunities such as to opening for stellar acts like; Pattie
Labelle, Freddie Jackson, and Dionne Warwick.

As Founder of Out Of Bondage Records & S.J. Productions,
Silivea keeps spreading the good & productive news about Jesus Christ via her own broadcast
productions. Although Silivea gained confidence as a youth
vocalist, her professional experience did not come until she was recording commercial
jingles at a nearby studio. Later she was introduced to Billboard Magazine’s
honored Jazz Musician, Tom Browne.

“Things really took off from there, from there and she hasn’t looked back since!”
Among her many blessed, lifetime accomplishment, Silivea sang lead vocals on Browne's "Mo'
Jamaica Funk" album release. Silivea toured with Browne performing with his band in some
major venues along with several world renowned Jazz Houses. She even presented live on B.E.T
(Black Entertainment Television) Jazz Central, with the late great Lou Rawls. Silivea was
featured in one of Browne's major international music videos as the lead vocalist.

It is clear that this talented servant of God has much more to accomplish for “his kingdom” and
