My career started at the young age of 7, when my mother shipped me off to summer camp with a duffel bag and a disposable camera. I ran out of pictures on the very first day. Most of the pictures were either blurry or had my finger on the lens, but it would soon prove to be the beginning of a deep passion: I had fallen in love with taking photos and capturing moments that could not be otherwise expressed with words. From that time and after, I had carried a disposable camera with me everywhere I went, until my parents bought my first digital camera. It wasn’t a very good camera, but I'm not one to complain. During my freshman year of high school, I had started going to local music shows, and became a member of The Vera Project: Seattle's All Ages Music Venue. That’s when I fell in love with music photography. Catching the expression on the musician’s face or the position of the instrument, whether it’s rock, acoustic, hip-hop or blue grass, is all fascinating to me. After taking a photography class in my sophomore year of school, I knew that photography was my calling. As the years progressed my photography skills have improved immensely. I've branched out from music photography and have started exploring my surroundings. It wasn’t until the summer of 2007 that I had bought my first professional camera: a Pentax D 100 K. I have recently purchased a Nikon Fisheye camera and a Canon Rebel Xti. They are basically attached to my hand. Since that year at summer camp, I have not stopped taking pictures, capturing memories, or loving photography.
