Silvia Sagari, PhD, is a Business Consultant, Leadership Coach, and Trainer. She is known for her work with leaders who are making a difference in the world. She coaches them to develop their leadership competencies, their resilience—through work-life harmony—and their ability to build upon diversity in culture, life experiences, and abilities.
Dr. Sagari has worked in the corporate world, as well as the public sector, holding both managerial and leadership positions. She has been an advisor to senior government officials as well as to corporate executives. She has handled complex contract negotiations. Dr. Sagari brings over 30 years of research, teaching, policy, and operational experience in finance, international banking and development, innovation, energy and other infrastructure sectors, as well as 20 years experience in talent development, innovation, creativity, and team building. She has led teams responsible for portfolios of $3 billion per year in loans in infrastructure (particularly energy and transport), technology and innovation, private business development, and the financial sector.
Dr. Sagari has held several key positions in multilateral financial institutions—The World Bank, the International Finance Corporation, and the Inter-American Development Bank, where she was Senior Advisor to the Executive Vice President, Division Chief for the Infrastructure and Financial Markets Division, Principal Officer for the Vice Presidency of Private Sector and Non-Sovereign Guaranteed Operations, Chief Coordinator in the Vice Presidency of Finance and Administration, and Principal Technical Leader for Leadership and Employment Development in the Human Resource Department.
Dr. Sagari has worked globally, and has hands-on experience in project design and implementation in over 25 countries in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Africa and the USA. Through her experience, she has developed a privileged insight into the managerial and leadership aspects needed to succeed which she brings to her advisory and coaching work. She is known for supporting the alignment of institutional vision and mission with the personal dreams and purpose of those charged with carrying out their work.
Dr. Sagari has a passion for working for the inclusion of the population with special needs and draws her inspiration from her daughter. She is a Founding Member of the Friends of the Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund, Member of the Patient
