Vancouver, B.C - Canada
Simon Gee is a first year student working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. Coming from a family who is already heavily involved in the Real Estate Business, Simon has high aspirations to become a real estate developer in the near future. Simon is a hard-working individual who is very passionate about what he does. He strives for excellence and performs to the best of his ability in an organized and efficient manner.
Currently, Simon is working part-time as a senior server at a fast-paced restaurant located in Downtown, Vancouver. As a senior server, Simon is given the responsibility to record the day's cash flow and provide directions to other servers on duty. Moreover, Simon partakes in extracurricular activities to become a more well-rounded student. Over the years of working and volunteering, Simon has gained many new experiences, skills and knowledge in which he applies to his everyday work.
Although Simon has a compact schedule, he values a balance between work and his personal life. He swims regularly to stay in shape and to de-stress, allowing himself to remain calm. Swimming has given him greater sense of discipline, focus and direction. Because of this, he has been able to concurrently achieve his fitness and academic goals. Simon learned through this process that sometimes the best way of fighting stress is, paradoxically, with another form of stress – in this case physical activity. It provides the focus and counterbalance he needs to the academic workload and other extracurricular activities.
